Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how Yiveno (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the Yiveno Chrome extension, the website at yiveno.com, and related backend services (Cloudflare Workers). Yiveno is a personal information recall product: Capture with low friction, Recall with high confidence. It is not a bookmark manager, note-taking app, chat bot, or “AI organizer” as a primary promise.

2. What we collect

2.1 On your device (default)

By default, memories you Capture (for example text excerpts, related page metadata you choose to save, and your notes) are stored in the extension’s local IndexedDB on your browser profile. Uninstalling the extension typically removes this local store.

2.2 Account (optional sign-in)

If you sign in via the website (for example Google or Microsoft through our auth provider), we process account identifiers such as user id, email, and profile fields the provider shares (for example display name or avatar URL). Signing in does not by itself upload your memories.

2.3 Cloud memory (opt-in sync)

Only after you explicitly enable cloud sync in the extension do we store Memory items and sync backups in our cloud database (currently Supabase), scoped to your account. Turning sync off does not automatically delete cloud copies; you can delete cloud memories or delete your account from Settings → Privacy.

2.4 AI / language features

Some features (for example clue understanding) may send limited prompts through our Cloudflare Worker to a model provider. We do not use the model as the system of record for create/read/update/delete of your Memory store. We do not default to sending your entire library to a model.

2.5 What we do not collect by default

  • Your full browsing History
  • Always-on clipboard reading
  • Full webpage content you did not actively Capture
  • Uploading memories to the cloud without enabling sync

3. How we use information

  • Provide Capture and Recall on your device
  • Authenticate you and optional cloud sync when you enable it
  • Operate, secure, and debug the service (including Worker logs with limited previews where needed)
  • Process subscriptions or payments if you purchase paid plans (billing records may be retained as required by law)

4. Processors and subprocessors

Depending on features you use, data may be processed by:

  • Supabase — authentication and (when sync is on) cloud Memory storage
  • Cloudflare — Workers API, hosting, and related infrastructure
  • Google / Microsoft — if you choose their OAuth sign-in
  • Model providers — only when an AI feature you use is routed through our Worker
  • Payment providers (for example Gumroad) — if you purchase a subscription

5. Retention and deletion

  • Local memories remain until you delete them, clear the account bucket, or remove the extension.
  • Cloud memories remain while your account exists and sync data has not been deleted; you can delete all cloud memories without deleting the account.
  • To manage storage redundancy, we may periodically prune certain cloud-related data, such as sync backups and soft-deleted billing records. For example, sync backups keep only the most recent snapshots (currently up to 5 per account), and soft-deleted subscription/payment history is removed after 180 days.
  • Delete account (Settings → Privacy) removes cloud Memory and backups, closes the auth user, clears this account’s local Memory bucket on that device, and signs you out. Billing records may be retained in anonymized or legally required form and are not a recoverable login.

6. Your choices

  • Use Yiveno without signing in (local profile)
  • Sign in without enabling cloud sync
  • Enable or disable cloud sync
  • Delete cloud memories or delete your account from the extension Settings → Privacy
  • Review a short privacy notice in Settings before enabling sync

7. Children

Yiveno is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). Do not use the service if you are under that age.

8. International users

We may process data in regions where our providers operate (including the United States and other locations). If you enable cloud sync or sign in, you understand your account and synced data may be stored outside your country of residence.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy as the product changes. We will update the effective date on this page. Material changes to the in-extension sync notice may require you to re-confirm before turning sync on again.

Capture / Recall

Memory
  • Cloudflare — Worker API
